E-World Energy & Water is one of Europe’s leading events for the energy and water industries and thus one of the most important trade fairs for the future of energy supply. In 2023, the fair will once again take place in the heart of the Ruhr region, in Essen and will offer a fascinating insight into the future of the energy sector. From innovative technologies and sustainable solutions to forward-looking strategies, E-World 2023 clearly demonstrated that the energy transition is unstoppable, which was also reflected in an increase in visitor numbers compared to last year. The exhibition halls at E-World were filled with the latest innovations and technological advances. Companies from all over the world presented their pioneering solutions for a sustainable and climate-friendly energy supply.
Turbonik was an exhibitor again this year. With our Micro Steam Turbine we demonstrated how a lot of CO2 can be saved already today in industrial heat supply. The response to our technology was extremely positive, especially from our numerous international guests from Japan, India, Korea, Norway and EU countries, who showed great interest in the potential applications of our turbines. Many discussions highlighted the importance of distributed efficiency technologies in the face of the current gas crisis and rising industrial energy costs. Many visitors were surprised to see how small and efficient a modern steam turbine can be. The exchange about possible applications was very exciting and stimulated further discussions.
Our micro steam turbines already offer the possibility to save several hundred tons of CO2 per year in existing steam networks or steam boiler systems, while at the same time significantly reducing energy costs. The feedback from the visitors encouraged us to continue developing innovative solutions for a sustainable energy supply.
Overall, E-World 2023 placed a special focus on the current heat transition. Participation in the panel discussion on “Climate-neutral heating transition”, organized by the NRW Environmental Economy Competence Network and Greentech.Ruhr, was therefore another highlight of the trade fair. The discussion once again highlighted the importance of the heating sector in the context of a climate-neutral economy. Our Managing Director Martin Daft presented the role of efficiency technologies and outlined concrete projects with which Turbonik is already actively contributing to the heating transition. It was clear that the energy industry is facing major changes and that new ways must be found to ensure a sustainable and reliable energy supply.
After three successful days at the fair, we can draw a very positive conclusion about E-World 2023. Regardless of current political developments, the topic of energy and resource efficiency is of generational importance. We are proud to contribute to and actively shape the energy and heat transition through the development of efficiency technologies.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all visitors, interested parties, partners and colleagues from Germany and abroad, with whom we had exciting discussions. It was great to be back at the fair and we are already looking forward to E-World 2024. We would also like to thank the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia for giving us the opportunity to present TURBONIK at the joint stand of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the agency imagepeople for designing our trade fair appearance and supporting us in the preparations.
